In 2016, Kosmos Energy set up the Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC) to serve as an enabling platform for Ghana’s youth to create innovative solutions to the country’s development problems. Focusing on Agriculture, KIC’s 2016 AgriTech Challenge had over 100 applicants, 44 of whom were shortlisted. For 2017, those numbers shot up to 400 applicants, with 100 shortlisted.
At the end of the 2016 challenge, we facilitated the creation of two wining companies – TroTro Tractor Limited and Ghalani Limited. A year on, we are continuing our support for the next set of KIC-nurtured Agripreneur startups to further Ghana’s development.
